Lizzy West, Director

With deep industry expertise coupled with a rare product sensibility, Lizzy brings 20+ years’ experience. Lizzy has a proven track record in building brands and ranges in both retail and travel industries. Highlights include developing iconic, best-selling brands for beauty giant MECCA (from ideation to on-shelf) and partnering with luxury brands for airline and hotel programmes.

A hallmark of Lizzy’s career is collaborating with business and brand founders. She worked directly with MECCA founder and CEO, Jo Horgan, for almost a decade to build the signature brands, product by product.

At MECCA, Lizzy developed the Mecca Cosmetica and kit brands; launching hundreds of SKUs across all categories. Highlights include creating best-selling hero SKUs, such as MECCA’s To Save Face, Lip De-Luscious, Lit From Within and In A Good Light. Lizzy was the driving force in both the original kit brand in the early 2000s and its full product reimagination and launch in 2022.

In the airline and hotel space, Lizzy and her team developed commercially successful travel ranges with renowned brands. These included Sunday Riley, Penhaligon’s, 3LAB, REN, Malin + Goetz, Le Labo, Byredo, C.O. Bigelow, Jurlique, Payot and Hunter Lab. Such experience at Buzz was invaluable - speedy development, large-scale manufacturing (where millions of units are the norm) and balancing the requirements of brands and exacting global travel clients.
